About Claire

“Inside every human being is a special Heaven, whole and unbroken.”

Paracelsus

I am a qualified, professional Counsellor/Therapist who, since 1997, has been helping clients clarify their thoughts, explore their feelings and deal with any issues that may be preventing them from leading their life fully.  My work is inspired by my own life experiences which include marriage, divorce, bereavement, remarriage and parenting. It is a great privilege to be able to help, inspire and guide others on their own healing journeys. Find out more about my approach here.

Clients find me to be a gentle guide who can lovingly challenge when needed, with a gift for putting people at ease and helping them uncover and express their true feelings. My warmth, caring nature and professionalism encourage clients to talk freely in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment, secure in the knowledge that they will be listened to and supported.

I am a skilled and experienced professional who strongly believes counselling/therapy is a profession that is both a privilege and responsibility. Accordingly I adhere to the code of ethics of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

I obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Therapeutic Counselling from the Institute of Psychosynthesis, validated by Middlesex University, in 2000 and also hold a Certificate in Psychodynamic Counselling from the Enfield Counselling Service, which is affiliated to the Westminster Pastoral Foundation. I am an accredited and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), and continue to invest in my ongoing professional development to better serve my clients.

I have developed a successful counselling practice and worked in a variety of settings. These include an NHS health clinic, where I saw clients referred by their doctors, and several therapy centres, as well as my own practice in North West London. I have also been contracted by various Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs) to provide counselling/therapy for employees in need of support. I am an authorised counselling provider for BUPA members.

My personal interests include meditation, healing, interfaith dialogue and non-violent communication, as well as different spiritual paths and world religions. Having studied these and a number of other approaches to personal development, I am able to draw on a variety of different techniques, disciplines and traditions to help my clients.

See how I’ve helped a selection of clients and if you would like to discuss how I can help with your own difficulties, email or call me on 07957 418 985 to chat in confidence.

I look forward to talking to you!

“I had been through a particularly trying time in my private life. It was beginning to seriously affect my work and even my ability to complete a normal day. From the start Claire has been supportive, caring, understanding and professional. Undergoing counselling is never easy but I found that in nine short months I regained my ability to cope with life, including all the little stresses along the way.”
