My Approach

“It is never too late to be what you might have been.”

George Eliot

Counsellors vary in their philosophy, ways of working and schools of thought. I work as a Psychosynthesis Counsellor/Therapist, which means I take a holistic view of the person I am working with; I see you as a whole.  I use a variety of powerful techniques such as guided visualisation, role-play, drawing, dialogue and reflective conversation.  They are effective tools that help you to discover your true hidden potential.  As one of my clients puts it beautifully:

“I addressed past actions that I had not properly understood, which were affecting my behaviour. I have not looked back since and am now more confident. Counselling has had a very positive impact on my life.”

Together, we explore whatever is challenging you and holding you back. Through our Psychosynthesis Counselling/Therapy sessions, you are supported to discover your own inner wisdom. I offer a space where you are accepted for who you are, listened to without judgement and invited to step into who you may be. Sessions take place weekly and I offer daytime and evening appointments.

Often described as “a psychology with a soul”[1],  Psychosynthesis Counselling/Therapy views difficulties as opportunities for growth. I work in a way that acknowledges your uniqueness, which enables you to learn, grow and feel supported in life’s journey.

As well as face-to-face sessions, I offer counselling/therapy by phone or via Skype. Our work can be short or long-term, depending on the amount of support you need but, typically, an initial interview is followed by six weekly sessions, after which we review our work. As an accredited and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), I adhere to their code of ethics and you can be reassured that all information you disclose is treated as confidential.

I appreciate how hard it can be to take that first step and come into counselling. The relationship that builds between client and Counsellor/Therapist is a very important aspect of our work and it is vital that you choose someone you are comfortable working with. You can see what some of my clients have said about my practice here and if you would like to discuss how I can help with your own difficulties, email or call me on 07957 418 985 in confidence.
